Maya is lukcy to have an older cousin who enjoys spending the day with her.

During the summer, our nephew DJ (he's only 8!) comes over on Tuesdays and Thursdays while his parents are at work. Maya is happy to have another playmate.

Especially one who is as kind and as much fun as her cousin.

They are becoming fast friends.

Happy Father's Day

Here we are, giving Guillermo his first Father's Day gifts. Believe it or not, we did not go to the Giants game (they were giving out neckties to the first 20,000 fans). Guillermo opted instead for tickets to the President's Cup Golf Tournament being held in San Francisco this October. Rumer has that that Barak Obama (he's the honorary chair of the tournament) is going to make an apperance.

7 months old

June 15, 2009, Maya was 7 months old.

She's got two bottom teeth, sits up well by herself and is trying to figure out how to crawl.

And still won't smile for the camera very often.

Daddy made me a new toy

Take one old oatmeal canister. Take off the label. Add something that jingles and tape it up.

It's amazing how the simpliest toys seem to be the most fun.
